Coconut oil acquires fatty acids that helps in locking moisture and hence keeps the skin smooth. So you can apply it over elbows or other rough spots.

Add some baking soda to coconut oil, mix it and rub gently on your face. You might feel residue after rising but the oil will be absorbed in few minutes.
